I have been unable to connect to a newly created SAP HANA 1.0 SPS 10 Developer Edition instance on AWS, either from a browser (using http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8000 or 80) or from an eclipse client. The host does not respond even after verifying from the AWS console that the instance is actually running.
This instance was set up using the CAL defaults with the exception of choosing the us-west-2 region and enabling a public static IP address. I also tried the default us-east-1 region and no public static IP in various combinations but with the same result of no connection.
For reference, I had been successfully running an SPS 09 Developer instance for some time without issue but terminated that solution to enable launching an SPS 10 Developer instance (i.e. network access has not changed).
I have submitted a message to AWS Support but would appreciate any helpful information from the CAL team and the CAL community.
