Hi Sander,

Thanks for your response.I require the data in the consolidated DSO at the Order Level(with order as Key).

I would just like to confirm my understanding of your response.

Since I have 4 datasources with some transformation routines for actual costs, you recommend the following:

1. Create 4 CMs(Write-optimized DSOs into which data is staged from the 4 Datasources. This has only the technical key and hence acts as an image of the PSA. Do you advise consolidating at order level here with a Semantic Key or doing it at the next level?

2. From these 4 Write-Optimized DSOs, I will consolidate data into the final DSO. The routines that existed in BI Content between Datasource and DSO will be implemented at this stage manually.

Another issue I face is with replication of the routines from Content transformation to mine. For a single Maintenance Order, I get 6 records in the PSA each having a Value Type and Amount field. Based on the Value Type(VTYPE), I assign the amount to actual(VTYPE 10) or planned cost(VTYPE 20) using a transformation routine.

Consider that I have 3 records with VTYPE 10(actual cost) and Amount 100 each and 3 records with VTYPE 20(plan cost) and Amount 200 each.In the Content routine, using data aggreagtion as Summation with Order as Key, I get Actual Cost as 100 and Planned Costs as 200 in the consolidated DSO at order level, which is CORRECT. But in my routine, I get Actual Cost as 300 and Planned Cost as 600 using Summation Aggregation. Am I missing something? Should I use Overwrite aggregation?

Thanks a lot for your support!

Regards,

Ardy
